41st Annual Idaho State Square and Round Dance Festival

 June 9, 10 & 11, 2005

West Minico Jr. High School
Paul, Idaho

  Jeanne & Allen Long

Jeanne began square and round dancing in 1983, then began cueing in 1985, as a favor to a club that needed a cuer.  A move to Arkansas in 1991 put a temporary halt to her cueing. Allen began square and round dancing in 1974,  and was involved in the club leadership, helping to organize a Jamboree in the Roosevelt area.

Jeanne and Allen started dancing together in 2002, became co-teachers in a beginning round dance class that year, and have been co-teaching since, working up into phases III and IV.  They have cued at several Utah State Festivals, the USAWest Conventions in Boise and Ogden, several Tri-Valley Association dances in the Salt Lake area, and have had great pleasure in traveling to and cueing at dances both in and out of state, as well as cueing each week for the Rainbow Squares in Bountiful, UT.

In December of 2003 they had the opportunity to co-write a Phase IV dance, which is soon to be published. They are members of Roundalab, and support and enjoy many dances.
